What makes Creative Academy Summer Camps unique?

Dayton Live Creative Academy Summer Camps are a place where every young person can explore their own creativity. Whether you are new to the performing arts or have lots of experience, Dayton Live Creative Academy is the perfect place to develop social-emotional skills as well as a love for the arts!

What activities are offered at Dayton Live Creative Academy?

Participants will experience music, dance, acting, singing, physical comedy, and more.

What is the camper-to-counselor ratio?

Dayton Live Creative Academy uses the five-star ratio guidelines of the Step Up to Quality Program to determine their ratio. On average this is 1:15.

How much time do the campers spend outside?

Most time at Dayton Live Creative Academy camps is spent inside the PNC Arts Annex theatre.

Does Dayton Live Creative Academy Summer Camps provide lunch/snacks or do parents need to provide them?

For full-day camps, we provide lunch/snacks. Half-day camps we provide snacks.

What is the typical daily schedule for campers?

Campers will gather as a group at the beginning of each camp day and participate in activities that help build bonds for the group. Then, depending on the camp, time is spent learning music, dialogue in scenes, new techniques in comedy and dance, and many other things. Lunch is always together. Then, at the end of each camp day, the group gathers again for a final ritual designed to build comradery and confidence.

How old are the counselors and how are they trained?

All Teaching Artists are professionals in their fields. All teaching artists are also background-checked and trained by the director of education prior to the camp.

What accommodations are made for campers with special needs?

Dayton Live Creative Academy works with each individual family on how we can best ensure their camper has fun and finds success in our camps.

Is this an overnight camp?

No.
