If you’re from Cincinnati, there’s a good chance you’re familiar with Gary Burbank and his show on 700 WLW, where he would say, “Hey, how’s your Mom ‘n ‘em?” That familiar phrase gave way to the name of Mom ‘N ‘Em Coffee, currently celebrating seven years in the community with a flagship location in Camp Washington and a second location in Madisonville. Both are open every day from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. On Sundays, the Mom ‘N ‘Em Coffee Cart can also be found at the Summer Farmer’s Market in Hyde Park Square from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Rated as the third best coffee shop in America by Food & Wine magazine and the number one coffee shop in Ohio, Mom ‘N ‘Em now roasts its own coffee and has canned its popular Franklin’s Coconut Cold Brew.
Mom ‘N ‘Em has an extensive menu for those dining in. This includes standard coffee options, from cappuccino to macchiato and lattes with yummy names like honey, vanilla, salted olive oil and maple ube. Teas, including chai, are offered along with steamed milk for kids. Food options include standouts like an egg sandwich dirty ‘Nati, an almond butter (house-made) banana sandwich, avocado toastie, cinnamon sugar toast and overnight oats.
Pantry items include packaged coffee (ground and beans) along with house-made items like sherry brown butter and almond butter, garlic aioli and granola.
