Dayton Turkey Trots

With the holiday season beginning earlier and earlier each year, Thanksgiving often gets lost in the shuffle. One way to make sure this important holiday isn’t forgotten is to start a new tradition, or maybe just continue with one that’s already been established. In Dayton, one way to do this is to participate in one of the many “Turkey Trots” throughout the area this month.

If you’re looking for a way to celebrate, get some fresh air or simply give yourself an excuse for seconds this Thanksgiving, check out one of these 8 races in our Dayton Turkey Trot Roundup:

Turkey Prediction Run

November 20 | 1:00 pm | 501 Yellow Springs-Fairfield Road, Fairborn | Learn More

A refreshing break from the usual race format, the Turkey Prediction run is not about being the fastest runner, but rather about most accurately predicting your finish time. Those with the most accurate predictions will win a frozen turkey, just in time for Thanksgiving. The exact course route will be kept secret until race day. Watches or other time-keeping devices are not allowed, and the finish line clock will not be visible to runners.

Start your Thanksgiving off by getting some exercise and providing for such a good cause.
