A favorite of both locals and visitors, ice skating on Fountain Square has become a family-friendly tradition in the heart of downtown Cincinnati each winter!
The UC Health Ice Rink, presented by Fifth Third Bank, is now open daily through February 17. Special events will take place throughout the season, including but not limited to, family favorites like Duke Energy’s Light Up the Square event, taking place on Friday, Nov. 29 and the YMCA of Greater Cincinnati’s Downtown Dazzle series kicking off on Nov. 30. For your family photos and selfies, the Duke Energy Holiday Tree will be lit-up daily starting Friday November 29.
The ice rink is managed and programmed by 3CDC. It features rental skates; a full-service concessions tent with hot and cold snacks, and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages; and the 60’ WGU Warming Tent with seating. The rink is open 7 days a week and costs $10 for admission and skate rental. Children age 3 and under are free. The ice rink and the WGU Warming Tent may be reserved for events and birthday parties. To inquire about availability or rental package details, please submit a request at this page.
The 2024/2025 Ice Rink experience will focus solely on ice skating. After three successful years, the bumper cars that previously accompanied the rink have reached the end of their useful life, and rather than purchasing a new fleet, the emphasis will shift to enhancing the skating experience.
Whether you’ve been coming to the rink for years or you’re looking for a new family tradition, The UC Health Ice Rink, presented by Fifth Third Bank is not to be missed this year! With its gorgeous backdrop and proximity to all that downtown has to offer, ice skating on Fountain Square is a unique, family-friendly experience that is sure to make lasting memories.
