Great Parks introduces a new, signature holiday event, Holidays on the Farm, a month-long celebration of the season in the unique, natural setting of Parky’s Farm in Winton Woods!
Holidays on the Farm will feature Santa and his reindeer, lighted trails, a festive tree path, a variety of live entertainment, thousands of twinkling lights, food trucks and a merry beer garden, and plenty of memorable experiences that can only be found in the wide-open spaces of Great Parks. Grand opening night is on Friday, November 18.
“Parky’s Farm will be on full, festive display as we gather to reimagine celebrating the holidays outdoors and discover winter wonder together,” said Todd Palmeter, Great Parks’ CEO. “Reconnecting with nature may not be top of mind as the days get shorter and temperatures continue to drop, so we’re excited to present this fresh outdoor alternative to Greater Cincinnati’s holiday scene.”
As holiday music fills the air, thousands of twinkling LED lights will be aglow around Parky’s Farm. Live family programming and entertainment will be scheduled for each evening, including classic holiday movies, carolers, an outdoor holiday magic show, music shows, and education programs. Guests will have chances to meet the animals who live at Parky’s Farm, plus special characters visiting from the North Pole.
The Santaland area will offer a chance to meet and greet Santa Claus, write letters to Santa, ride ponies and view an interactive train display. On the farm, reindeer will visit from the North. A holiday hay wagon ride through a lighted woodland path will deliver a relaxing and nostalgic escape from the hustle and bustle of the season. Children will enjoy a special trail scavenger hunt to help Santa find his reindeer.
Guests will gather around blazing bonfires where they can roast s’mores and sip on hot chocolate and cider. For adults, the nightly beer garden will include a variety of local beers and ciders, with entertainment each night.
Holidays on the Farm will be open on the following dates and times:
- Nov. 18 – 20, 5 p.m. – 9 p.m.
- Nov. 25 – 27, 5 p.m. – 9 p.m.
- Dec. 1 – Dec. 11, Thursdays – Sundays, 5 p.m. – 9 p.m.
- Dec. 15 – Dec. 23 – Open daily, 5 p.m. – 9- p.m.
Parky’s Farm, operated by Great Parks, is located at 10073 Daly Rd.
Tickets cost $12 per person ages 13 or older when purchased in advance or $15/person at the gate. For children ages 2-12, admission is $10. The event is free for children under 24 months of age. Food and drinks will be sold separately.
