The heart of Independence Day is not in the festivals or the parades.
Rather, it’s in the way communities come together to care for each other during times of trouble. In the spirit of loving and protecting our neighbors, most 4th of July festivities have been canceled this year. However, many Dayton towns and organizations are still committed to lighting up the night sky with fabulous fireworks that you can enjoy safely from your yard, street or nearby viewing area.

Star Spangled Heights
When: July 4, 10 am-Noon
Where: Brandt Pike, from Chambersburg to Nebraska
Details: The Huber Heights Annual Independence Day Parade will be held on Saturday, July 4th. Kick-off will be at 10 am at the corner of Brandt Pike and Chambersburg Road. See the Arts & Beautification page for entry form.
City of Lebanon Independence Day Celebration
When: July 3, 10 pm
Where: Warren County Fairgrounds at 8 PM to view the fireworks from your vehicle.
Details: City of Lebanon Independence Day Fireworks will launch at 10 pm on July 3 from Colonial Park West.
Kevin Sonnycalb Memorial Fireworks Festival
When: July 3, 9:30 pm
Where: Fireworks display will be presented from the city’s west side in the area of Progress Drive.
Details: The City has been working with the Sonnycalb family and Xenia Rotary to safely present this annual tradition for our city. Restrictions still in place on large gatherings prevent the annual festival at Shawnee Park from taking place.
Red, White, and Boonshoft Planetarium Fireworks
When: July 3 @ 7 pm and 8:30 pm, July 4 @ 7 pm and 8:30 pm
Where: Boonshoft Museum of Discovery
Details: Don’t miss out on fireworks this Fourth of July – join us in our Planetarium for our unique and immersive indoor firework display! A great activity for the whole family. They will be operating our Planetarium at half capacity, so get your tickets now! Four showings are available. Cost is $6 per person (Children 2 and under are Free, but must sit on a lap due to space limitations).
City of Beavercreek 4th of July Fireworks
When: July 4
Where: The Mall at Fairfield Commons
Details: The fireworks show will be a little different this year due to COVID-19 and social distancing requirements. There will be entertainment prior to the fireworks show with Mister C starting at 9 pm. Fireworks will begin promptly at 10 pm. During the fireworks and while you are onsite, they ask that you maintain the 6′ social distancing recommendation and enjoy the show within your designated parking spot. There will be no restrooms in the parking lots, so please plan accordingly.
City of Troy 4th of July Concert & Fireworks
When: July 4, 8- 10 pm
Where: Treasure Island Park
Details: Parade will start at 9:00 am. Food truck vendors will be on-site before the concert begins. Plan to stay for the fireworks after the concert. Due to the ongoing risk of COVID-19, concert-goers are asked to practice social distancing. Restrooms at Treasure Island Park will be open. The annual fireworks display will start at approximately 10 pm.
Red, White & Boro
When: July 4, 9:45 pm
Where: Springboro Schools SHS
Details: The City of Springboro in cooperation with Clearcreek Township and Springboro Schools will sponsor a fireworks display on July 4. Fireworks will be launched from the high school campus for the entire community to enjoy!
4th of July Fireworks in Tipp City
When: July 4, 7 pm (Food Trucks) 10 pm (Fireworks)
Where: Kyle Park
Details: We recommend that everyone wears face coverings. Please maintain social distancing — stay at least 6 feet from others. If you’re sick you should not attend. Follow good hygiene practices. The fireworks will take place at 10 pm.
