5 Lucky Events in Cincinnati this Weekend

This Friday is St. Patrick’s Day; and we’re feeling very lucky! Lucky to live in Cincinnati, lucky that spring is starting next week, and most of all, lucky for this weekend’s selection of family friendly events. From a charmed Sunday Funday at the Taft, to the rare-as-a-rainbow Ballet Toybox, to the golden ticket event — the Cincinnati Parent Summer Camp Fair — this weekend epitomizes everything we love about Cincinnati.

Here are 5 lucky events in Cincinnati this weekend:

Every Saturday in March, we will host Learning Through Play for Families. Drop-in activities will be available for families to experience the joy and benefit of playing together in Duke Energy Children’s Museum. Activities will be free for Museum Members or with admission to Duke Energy Children’s Museum.
Why it’s lucky: You can indulge your inner leprechaun with a day of play at the Museum Center!

Ballet Toybox: Swan Lake, Jr.

Sunday, March 18 at 2 p.m. at the Taft Theatre
Ballet Toybox, our annual performance specifically designed to introduce children to dance, returns with a new twist. This season’s program features Cincinnati Ballet Second Company in Swan Lake Jr., a special retelling of the classic ballet, for kids! Tickets are $20 each.
Why it’s lucky: This once-a-year event is not to be missed; it’s a fantastic opportunity to introduce your youngest kids to the ballet!

Third Sunday Funday: Blinged-Out Art

Sunday, March 18 from 1-4 p.m. at the Taft Museum
Get ready for a glittering Funday! Create your own blinged-out accessory, see how a touch of gold or sparkle can glam up a painting, and learn about the materials artists use to create these beautiful works of art at the Art Cart. At 2 p.m., join OTRimprov for a hilarious performance of sketch comedy.
Why it’s lucky: Where do we begin? We are so lucky to have the Taft’s monthly free Fundays; and this one lets your kids make the kind of sparkly, shiny treasures any leprechaun would love to have!
