Halloween’s just 10 days away – and the next two weekends are jam-packed with tons of spooktactular fun for the whole family! So get the kids dressed in their costumes, grab your treat baskets – and get ready to say “trick-or-treat” all weekend long!
Here are 6 Halloween happenings this weekend in Cincinnati:
Cincinnati Parks Magic Forest Halloween Hikes
Fri., Oct. 20 and Sat., Oct. 21 at Caldwell Nature Center
Walk through a pumpkin-lit trail and meet costumed characters from nature and history. This is a non-scary holiday walk best suited for children ages 3-10. Hikes are an hour long, and start at 7 p.m. with the last hike leaving at 8:30 p.m. Hike groups are organized by type: scouts, youth groups, families with young children and families with older children. Cost is $6 per person, with a $3 administrative fee per order. Children 2 and under are free.
Haunted Village
Fri., Oct. 20 and Sat., Oct. 21 at Heritage Village
Heritage Village Museum will transform into Haunted Village for six nights of spooktacular fun! This is a family-friendly, slight-fright event loaded with ghostly attractions. Visitors can take a wagon ride through the Village, or take a stroll into the cemetery…if you dare. Ghouls, witches, and a mad scientist will entertain guests throughout the night. Everyone is encouraged to dress in their Halloween costumes and children can Trick-or-Treat throughout the Village. Face painting, balloon animal making, and games will amuse children of all ages. The cost of admission is $10 for ages 2 and up. Museum members are free.
Halloween Nights at Parky’s Farm
Thurs., Oct. 19-Sun., Oct. 22
Join in on the spooky, hardly-haunted fun at Parky’s Farm! This annual event features hay wagon rides, festive Halloween displays and family fun activities and entertainment for all ages. Pre-order tickets online: $7/person; Tickets at gate: $8/person. Free for children under 2.
HallZOOween
Sat., Oct. 21 and Sun., Oct 22
Little ghouls and boys can enjoy FOUR spooktacular weekends of fun at the Cincinnati Zoo. HallZOOween is FREE with Zoo Admission! Help the Zoo ‘Go Green’ by bringing your own treat bag! Kids are encouraged to wear a costume during HallZOOween, but it is not required.
The Great Pumpkin Fest
Sat., Oct. 21 and Sun., Oct. 22 at Kings Island
