9 Spooky Awesome Events this Weekend in Southwest Ohio

Southwest Ohio’s autumn foliage is on full display and wow is it going to be a gorgeous fall weekend to get out and about!

Enjoy what could be the last warm weekend of 2022 with one of these awesome fall-themed events:

Costume Character Hike | Friday 6-9p Caldwell Nature Preserve

Walk through a pumpkin-lit trail meeting costumed characters from nature and history. This is a non-scary holiday walk best suited to children ages 3-10 years. Make it a family tradition! Hikes start at 6:00 pm and leave every 5 minutes until 8:30 pm. Each hike lasts about one hour.

Tweens & Teens UV Resin | Friday 6-8 McHarper Manor

UV Resin night for 5th grade and up, this session is all about FALL! McHarper Manor will have fun new bezels, molds and elements to make your accessories seasonal and stylish! Not into Halloween? No worries! There will be tons of bezels, shapes, and neutral molds on hand to make things you can sport year-round!

Happen’s Pumpkin Party | Saturday 11a-2p Happen Outside

Dozens of pumpkins are ready to carve. Our Happen volunteers have scooped and cleaned out your future Jack-o-Lantern. Child-safe carving tools provided. So leave the stress and the mess to Happen and sculpt incredible art for your porch this fall weekend. No reservations required, while supplies last.

Fall Fest | Saturday & Sunday 11a-4p Washington Park

Carve out some good times at Washington Park’s fall weekend of family fun! 3CDC has a jam-packed entertainment lineup for all ages with local vendors selling craft & homemade items, baked goods, pet needs and more. There will also be children’s activities including a free pumpkin patch and animal encounters.

Haunted Heritage Village Fall Weekend | Friday & Saturday 6-10p Sharon Woods

Heritage Village Museum will transform into a Haunted Village for a family-friendly, slight-fright event. Explore the village meeting ghosts, witches, a fortune teller, and a cursed archaeologist along the way. Walk through the spooky cemetery and haunted woods.  Enjoy balloon art, games, a creepy critter zoo, and more! Halloween costumes are encouraged for kids and adults and add to the family-friendly fun.

Halloween Walk in the Woods | Saturday 12-3p Blue Ash Nature Park

Come trick-or-treat with some of the friendliest characters in town! Halloween Walk in the Woods activities include trick-or-treating, crafts, concessions and shows. Free, geared for children 10 and under.

S’mores at the Nature PlayScape | Saturday 10:30a Cincinnati Nature Center

It’s never too late in the year to enjoy s’mores! Drop in to the Nature PlayScape to make a campfire treat and get fueled up to play. Suitable for all ages. No registration necessary for this drop-in program.

Fall Food Fest | Sunday 10a-4p Findlay Market

Findlay Market is so excited to share the amazing fall treats the Market has to offer this season at the annual Fall Food Fest! This Sunday Funday event lets you sample some of the very best fall dishes from merchants and vendors at the market. Each ticket is good for one sample from one business. Finish out your warm fall weekend with tasty treats at the market!

YMCA Trunk or Treat | Sunday 6-8 Huber Heights YMCA

Bring your goblins and ghouls to have some family fun in the YMCA parking lot. There will be a contest for the best decorated vehicle while kids ages 12 and under trunk-or-treat from vehicle to vehicle.
