Cincinnati Zoo Blooms

Spring is springing in Cincinnati – and there are signs of #SpringInCincy everywhere. If you’re looking for the biggest, brightest celebration of spring, look no further than the Cincinnati Zoo.

Right now, there are about a hundred thousand reasons to visit the zoo: Cincinnati Zoo Blooms!

In case you didn’t know, the complete name of this treasured Cincinnati attraction is the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Gardens. That’s right, aside from the wide variety of animals, the zoo is a top-notch garden, one of the best in the Midwest (some would argue the country). Experts in horticulture tend to the tulips, daffodils, hyacinths and countless other plants that decorate the natural landscape of the zoo.

Spring is the prime time to view their handy work, as the flowers explode with color in April. From the moment you walk up to the zoo entrance, you will be mesmerized by the rainbow of color, literally everywhere you look. You’ll see more than 100,000 tulips, in every color imaginable. Zoo Blooms also features more than one million daffodils, hyacinths, flowering trees, shrubs and other bulbs in every color of the rainbow.

Be ready for countless photo ops as you walk along the paths, with more beauty each time you turn the corner. You may even forget that there are also plenty of animals to visit, a train and a carousel to ride and opportunities to get up close and personal with farm animals, giraffes and others. (Of course, you’ll need to stop by Hippo Cove to visit City Beat’s #1 Cincinnatian: Fiona!)

The flowers at Zoo Blooms will be at their peak in the coming weeks, so be sure to plan a visit very soon! When you’re there and snap a stellar picture, share it with hash tags #ZooBlooms and #cincyzoopic for a chance to be featured!
