Hueston Woods Bridge
Not far from Cincy, Preble County is home to one of Ohio’s newest covered bridges. Completed in 2012, this bridge runs over Four Mile Creek and features a nearby picnic area.
Clifton Mill Covered Bridge
Clifton Mill is an easy one-tank trip from Cincinnati — and a must-visit during the holidays! From Thanksgiving through December, this Yellow Springs area attraction decks out its covered bridge in millions of lights.
Mohican State Park Covered Bridge
Mohican State Park features a beautiful and memorable covered bridge that’s a popular stop for hikers before they venture to Lyons Falls.
Bridge of Dreams
This 370-foot long bridge was built in the 1920s and originally used as a railroad bridge. It was covered in 1996. The Bridge of Dreams stretches over the Mohican River along the Mohican Valley Trail in Union Township.
Charles Holliday
The Charles Holliday Covered Bridge was the last one standing in Walnut Township. Built in the late 1890s by J.W. Buchanan, it originally crossed over Walnut Creek. The 96-foot beauty was reconstructed in 1982 at its current location on the Millersport Kiwanis Sweet Corn Festival Grounds.
Rock Mill Covered Bridge
Another Fairfield County pick, Rock Mill Covered Bridge is a favorite spot for photographers — and it’s easy to see why. Built in 1901, the bridge has a 30 foot span over the Hocking River and rests on its original abutments 35 feet above the gorge. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, it’s next to the fully restored 1824 grist mill Rock Mill. This is one of the last remaining mill and covered bridge combinations in the nation – and it’s a must-visit!
Fairfield County has the most original covered bridges in the state with a total of 17! This one-tank trip is a delightful destination all its own, and offers a Covered Bridge Trail for serious bridge buffs.
Rinard Bridge
Hune Covered Bridge
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this historic bridge was built in 1879. It is located in Reno, near Marietta, and sits next to the Hune Bridge Campground.
Johnson Road Covered Bridge
Kids will love these charming landmarks, and fall is *the* time to see them in all their glory! Ohio is proud of its covered bridge game, and we challenge you to visit one or all of these epic covered bridges this fall!
