Get moving, explore and make a splash in the great outdoors! Join Great Parks for the largest free outdoor adventure education event for children in the Midwest.
Hosted at Winton Woods in Forest Park, the Friday expo runs from 9:30a-3p at Winton Lake harbor. Children will enjoy many interactive activities from outdoor adventure themed exhibitors. All scheduled activities are on a first-come, first-served basis and may have limited capacity.
Let’s Move!
Get up and get your body moving! Many activity areas will teach kids about exercise and health. Zip through the Great Parks inflatable maze, join in a game of gaga ball and take part in a kids’ yoga class.
Let’s Explore Adventure!
Get outside and discover! Get up close and personal with nature and wildlife. Take a journey and discover what you can find in your backyard and on a farm. Explore how to become a steward for the environment. Enjoy a walk on the Winton Woods Harbor Loop Trail.
Let’s Splash!
Fish, paddle and make waves on Winton Woods Lake! Paddle a raft or try your luck at hooking a fish. Be prepared to get wet!
Participants should dress according to the weather and wear sneakers or footwear appropriate for a fair amount of walking and participating in exercise activities. Kids Outdoor Adventure Expo also includes some events on the water, so be prepared to get wet.
