Jack Pine Glass Pumpkin Festival

Every fall, the Hocking Hills region turns into a colorful autumn wonderland, and nowhere celebrates the season quite like the Jack Pine Glass Pumpkin Festival in Laurelville. The festival returns September 18-20, 2026, with thousands of hand-blown glass pumpkins, live glassblowing, dozens of visiting artists, music, food and family activities.

Festival Highlights

Thousands of Glass Pumpkins

At the heart of the festival is a pumpkin patch filled with thousands of blown glass pumpkins, each handcrafted with vivid colors, swirling patterns and one-of-a-kind designs. The pieces showcase the work of glass artist Jack Pine and his team.

The Pumpkin of the Year

Each year, one masterpiece is unveiled as the Pumpkin of the Year and released during the festival. The reveal is one of the most anticipated moments of the weekend.

Live Glassblowing Demonstrations

Guests can watch glass take shape during live glassblowing demonstrations for a behind-the-scenes look at the artistry behind the festival.

Artisan Market

Beyond the pumpkins, the festival features an artisan marketplace with independent artists selling jewelry, ceramics, woodwork, fiber art, painting, photography, sculpture and metalwork.

Live Music & Local Food

Live music from local performers plays throughout the weekend, and food vendors set up on-site. Free cotton candy is available for kids.

Giant Pumpkin Carving

A professional carver takes on several multi-thousand-pound pumpkins live during the festival, another highlight that blends art with fall tradition. [Can’t verify: carver’s name]

Family-Friendly Fun

Children can enjoy face painting and pumpkin painting, making the festival a solid family outing. The grounds are handicap accessible, and leashed dogs are welcome as long as owners clean up after them.
