As crisp autumn leaves sweep through Cincinnati, Newport Aquarium transforms into an otherworldly underwater spectacle. From September 19 to November 2, 2025, families can dive into Underwater Pumpkin GLOW—a dazzling fusion of seasonal festivity and marine enchantment.

  Marvel at larger-than-life jack-o’-lanterns crafted as sea creatures—from friendly sea turtles to seahorses and beyond. The real stand-out: a 10-foot-tall Giant Pacific Octopus built completely from pumpkins, glowing from within and serving as an intriguing “reef” for sharks and fish to explore.

  These pumpkin creations aren’t just for show—marine inhabitants enjoy seasonal enrichment, with divers even carving pumpkins underwater so fish and other species can feast on the pieces.
