f you’re staying in town over the holidays it’s a great time to check out some of the city’s attractions.
We’ve been busy during the past week, going to the Festival of Lights at the zoo, the aquarium, ice skating at Fountain Square and the lights at Pyramid Hill and Sharon Woods.
A new destination for us was the American Sign Museum in Camp Washington, the premier institution for preserving historic signs and promoting the contributions the sign industry makes to commerce, culture, and the American landscape. It includes 19,000+ square feet of exhibit space, with another 20,000 waiting for development and 28-foot ceilings, which are able to accommodate large signs. There is also a working neon shop and you can rent the space for meetings, workshops, parties and receptions.
You can walk through on your own but I recommend the guided tour which provides some colorful background on the signs that you see. And it’s a great place to get some cool shots, if you’re into photography.

Enjoy your time off and happy new year!
