Families visiting Dayton this spring have a brand-new reason to look up at the stars. The Boonshoft Museum of Discovery is launching its first-ever daytime laser shows designed specifically for kids and families, bringing the popular planetarium experience to daytime visitors for the first time.
Traditionally offered as evening programs geared toward adult audiences, the museum’s laser shows are now being reimagined with family-friendly themes and scheduled during museum hours — making them perfect for spring break outings and weekend visits.
Inside the museum’s planetarium, colorful laser lights dance across the dome in sync with music, creating an immersive visual experience that feels part concert and part cosmic light show.
