Can a competition that creates amazing sculptures out of canned goods make a difference in the fight against hunger? It sure can!
The annual Canstruction exhibit will be on display from April 4 – 23, 2017. There is no charge for admission, but the public is encouraged to bring canned goods or make a donation to the Freestore Foodbank.
Architects, engineers, designers and contractors compete to design and build structures made entirely out of canned goods. Afterwards, all of the food is donated to the local food bank for distribution to community emergency feeding programs. Cincinnati Canstruction has contributed 736,000 pounds of food to the Freestore Foodbank.
