Toy Swap
Sept. 2 at Glendale New Church
Kids and caregivers welcome to this trading and sharing opportunity! Bring new or gently-used toys to trade plus an extra toy for sharing. Bake sale proceeds, donations and toys benefit local women & children’s shelter, Bethany House Services.
Riverfest
Sept. 3 at Sawyer Point
This is the only way to celebrate Labor Day weekend in Cincinnati; Riverfest is a free festival at Sawyer Point that’s capped off with the famous WEBN fireworks display featuring Rozzi’s Famous Fireworks. Riverfest is sponsored by Western & Southern.
Raptors
Sept. 4 at Farbach- Werner Nature Preserve/Ellenwood Nature Barn
A variety of local native raptors will be on exhibit during this holiday weekend. Some of the birds will be provided by Raptor, Inc., a local organization with a mission to rescue and rehabilitate injured and orphaned birds of prey. Cameras and sketchpads are welcome.
Story Time/Kids Eat Free Tuesday
Every Tuesday at IKEA
Join us for story time in our Restaurant. Kids can enjoy classic tales of adventure and craft time after the story. While you’re there, take advantage of IKEA’s Kids Eat Free program!

The 2017 National Champion Synchronized Swimming Team, Cincinnati YMCA Synchrogators, are offering a Free Trial starting Wednesday September 6th. Practice for free with the team during the month of September and participate in the annual Fall Show in October. Synchrogators practice at ME Lyons YMCA, Gamble Nippert YMCA, Blue Ash YMCA and POWELL CROSLEY, JR YMCA.
Little Tykes
Sept. 6 at Winton Woods
Scales, skin and shells are found on many of nature’s critters. Join us to explore the lives and wonders of reptiles and amphibians. For children ages 3–6 accompanied by an adult.
Harvest Home Fair
Sept. 8-11 at the Cheviot Harvest Home Park
The Harvest Home Fair has come to be known as “the biggest little fair in Ohio.” The four-day event kicks off with the annual parade through Cheviot. The Fair follows, offering live entertainment, food, amusement rides, 4-H animal and horticulture exhibits, along with horse, flower and art shows. Admission is $5 for adults; children under 12 are free.
Children’s Book Swap
Sept. 8 at 4 p.m. at Blue Manatee
To celebrate International Literacy Day, blue manatee is hosting a book swap! Bring a gently used children’s book, and take home another attendee’s book! Registration required. FREE.
Deerfield Township Touch a Truck
Sept. 9 in the Deerfield Towne Center
Climb in a variety of vehicles, enjoy the petting zoo, and receive fun giveaways at this FREE community event!

Bluegrass for Babies

The Healthy Roots Foundation is proud to announce that on Saturday, September 23, Bluegrass for Babies is going back to its roots at Seasongood Pavilion in Eden Park for the 9th annual concert benefitting Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. The concert, which runs from 3-9 p.m., features music from top bluegrass bands, family-friendly activities, local concessions, and much more. Kids 12 and under are FREE.

In this fictional story of six-year-old Cao Chong, the most famous child prodigy in Chinese history, he uses creative problem solving and some scientific principles to find out how much an elephant weighs!
