Big Blue Canopy is an innovative pediatric therapy practice treating individuals from birth to young adults and offers a blend of one on one individualized Occupational, Speech, and Physical therapy, group classes, home programs, and a play-based developmental and rehabilitation gym. Through a unique open gym membership, we provide families with the opportunity to practice newly learned skills, stay engaged, and continue to make gains, even after discharge from therapy, at an affordable cost. This FREE program is designed for black teenagers between the ages of 13-17 in the Greater Cincinnati area who are interested in writing and publishing their own book. The program will run from May to August and will be facilitated completely online via Zoom.
Participants will have access to a mentor who will guide them through the book writing and publishing process. The program will consist of group meetings, workshops, and work sessions in small groups of 2-3, where participants will receive personalized support and feedback on their writing.
At the end of the program, participants will walk away with a published book (max 35 pages) through Amazon and a certification that can be added to their portfolio and/or resume. This is a unique opportunity for black teenagers to not only develop their writing skills but also gain valuable experience in the publishing industry.
