The most talked about family tradition returns to Coney Island this winter, with new features and more
of the beloved Christmas displays and lights.
Christmas Nights of Lights at Coney Island begins November 10 and runs through January 1, 2018.
Experience this amazing light show synchronized to both traditional and rocking holiday music through your car radio. Visitors of all ages will be awed by the larger than life trees, glowing snowflakes, dancing candy canes and fantastic tunnels of lights! In the warmth of your own car, you can sing along to the sounds of the season synchronized to each holiday display. Christmas Nights of Lights welcomes carloads of families and friends to enjoy this Christmas tradition.
NEW for 2017: An extra half mile added, now there are two and a half miles to drive through to see displays and light shows made of over a million lights driven by more than forty thousand computer channels. Also new this year, two new animated trees, a second light tunnel, new music, added toy soldiers, and a Candy Cane entrance.
“We are very excited about this family holiday show returning to Coney Island,” said the park’s President, Rob Schutter. “Families truly get in the holiday spirit at this event from the warmth of their cars – parents, grandparents, and kids alike all marvel at the light displays while listening to the coordinating music on the radio.”
Several local charities will benefit from the family holiday event, including The Salvation Army, the Ruth Lyons Children’s Fund, St. Vincent DePaul, and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Starshine Hospice. In addition, every Tuesday in November a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Toys for Tots.
Join us Friday Nov. 10 as we and The Salvation Army honor our Veterans featuring the USMC Color Guard, The Salvation Brass Ensemble, and free cookies to the first 200 Veterans and active military. Veterans Day Weekend: Veterans or active military (with valid Military ID) are free Nov. 10-12.
