Make and Take: Willow Bird Feeders at Long Branch Farm & Trails
- Sat, Sep 12, 2026
- 2 p.m.–3:30 p.m.
- Cincinnati Nature Center at Long Branch Farm & Trails, Goshen
Registration Requirements: Preregistration required.
Intended Audience: This program is best for adults and/or children ages 10 and up with a caregiver. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Program Description: We’re crafting bird feeders from woven willow! Using flexible willow rods and traditional weaving techniques, we’ll create feeders with a naturally strong, open structure to hold suet and support local birds through the cold season ahead.
What to Expect: This is a hands-on class with an optional gathering in the field portion. After crafting our bird feeders, we’ll take an (optional) walk over to the willow copse, where they grow.
- This program is mostly outdoors with indoor options available in the case of severe weather.
- Pets are not permitted at Cincinnati Nature Center programs or events.
- Program runs rain or shine.
What to Wear: This program has the potential to get a little messy—attendees are encouraged to wear old clothes.
Where to Meet: Registered participants will meet at the Creekside Barn at our Long Branch Farm & Trails location. (6926 Gaynor Rd, Goshen, OH 45122)
Cost: Ticket fees include daily admission. Fees are per project; a caregiver may purchase one project to work on with their child. Nonmember caregivers who purchase a ticket for their child will pay daily admission at the gate.
