Prepare yourself to experience the Tavern Dinner: Harvest Feast at Carillon Historical Park.
This event is casual and involves participation in a number of hands-on historical activities, so please dress comfortably and according to the weather.
Your evening will begin at the Kettering Family Education Center, the main entrance to our campus of over 30 museum exhibits. We ask that you park in our main parking lot, nearest the covered portico. There you will be greeted by a costumed guide and enjoy light hors d’oeuvres. Please arrive between 5:45pm and 6:00pm. Prompt arrival ensures that the evening can start on time for all guests.
At 6:00pm, you will be escorted to the William Morris House and Hetzel Summer Kitchen. Here, costumed cooks will welcome you to the 1830s with the interactive discussions and demonstrations of 19th century tasks. After participating in the preparations for the multi-course meal, you will dine by candlelight in Newcom Tavern.
If you would like to enjoy alcoholic beverages with dinner, wine and beer will be available for purchase with a credit card or with cash. Entertainment, dessert, and discussion will follow this authentic supper.
