General admission to Shaw’s Farm is free. Some activities do come with a fee like hayrides, corn maze, little blue train, and pedal karts.
Plan a trip to Shaw’s Farm any day of the week, most activities operate daily. It is very highly recommended to squeeze your trip in on a weekday as the crowd is much, much less. The barrel train and pedal car are only available on the weekends but daily hayrides, the acres-large playground, pumpkin patch and animals are waiting for you today!
Shaw’s Farm turns their summer produce stand into Fall Fun on the Farm each late September, patiently awaiting many tiny footsteps scurrying around the pumpkin patch. In the summer months, you can find fresh tomatoes, corn, jalapeños, blackberry, watermelon and delicious homemade fudge and pumpkin rolls that stay through Fall Fun on the Farm!
The tractor and horse drawn hayrides are quite impressive. A twenty-five minute trip around the farm encourages joy with the kids as they point out the many fun props and Halloween scenes. Not too spooky, you’ll spot silly dinosaur skeletons, witches, phantom flamingos, a ghostly bridal party and the biggest and tallest spider tunnel you’ll ever see.
A visit inside the open-air market completes your Fall Fun on the Farm trip. Pumpkins and gourds of all shapes and sizes fill the market courtyard, easily find a jack-o-lantern worthy squash. Homemade gifts, Fall decor, vegetables, scarecrows, corn stalks, mums and hay bales are irresistible to purchase.
