Fall Festivals at Farms around Cincinnati, Dayton and Northern Kentucky
A pumpkin patch sells you a pumpkin. A farm fall festival sells you the afternoon: one admission that covers the hayride, the corn maze, the jump pillow and whatever the goats are up to, with cider and donuts sold separately. Plenty of farms across Southwest Ohio and Northern Kentucky run that kind of season, most of them from mid-September through Halloween weekend, and we rounded up 12 of the best farm fall festivals, grouped by Cincinnati and Dayton. Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky
Blooms & Berries Fall on the Farm

Fall on the Farm runs daily September 19 through November 1, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. [VERIFY: closing time]. One ticket covers unlimited hayrides, a 5-acre corn maze (this year’s theme is the Mystery of the Giant Harvest) plus a kids maze, a 40-animal petting farm, the pumpkin bounce pad, a low ropes course and the Barnyard 500 trike track. The train ride costs extra. Weekend tickets are $5 cheaper online than at the gate, and weekday season passes are sold online. The craft beer garden is open Friday through Sunday.
Country Pumpkins

This is the longest drive on the Cincinnati side, about 40 minutes south of downtown off I-75, and the Colson family’s dairy farm is set up to fill a whole day. The Fun Pass bundles a hayride, the barrel train, the turbo slide, a 4-acre USA 250-themed corn maze, the Pumpkin Ridge play area and 10 shots at the paintball shooting gallery. The season runs through November 1, closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Hayrides and the barrel train run only Fridays from 5 to 7 p.m. and on weekends. Leashed pets are welcome.
Gorman Heritage Farm Sunflower Festival
10052 Reading Road, Evendale, OHÂ
The Sunflower Festival is a single weekend, October 3 and 4 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., at this 122-acre nonprofit working farm. Advance tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for ages 2 to 17 and seniors 60 and older. Gate prices are $15 and $10, and each ticket is good for one day only. Cut-your-own sunflowers are $1 a stem or 12 for $10. Hayrides, a crop maze, farm animals, food trucks and local beer for adults round it out. There’s no cash or ATM on site. Fall Farm Fun Days follow on October 10, 17 and 24.
Hidden Valley Orchards

General admission is free at this Warren County orchard, so families can wander the grounds, shop the market and buy cider and donuts without a ticket. The activity yard, with more than 30 kids activities, is ticketed, and fall packages bundle it with other seasonal extras. Themed weekends run through the season, including the Pumpkin Celebration October 10 and 11, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. No pets.
Kinman Farm Market Fall Fest

Kinman’s Fall Fest in Boone County runs Fridays through Sundays, September 26 through October 31, and stays open later than most: Friday 4 to 9 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Admission is $15, or $10 for ages 65 and older, and free for ages 2 and under. It covers unlimited hayrides, the jump pillow, the corn maze, the Manny’s Corn Express ride and Maci Lou’s Barnyard. Weekday field trips and private events are booked by email.
Neltner’s Farm Fall Fest

This Campbell County farm has the lowest paid admission on the list: $7 for ages 3 and up on Saturdays and Sundays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., September 25 through October 31. That covers horse-drawn wagon rides, a corn maze of more than 3 acres and a separate toddler maze for kids who find the big one overwhelming. Weekends add crafters, live music, local wine tastings and home-cooked food from Four Mile Pig. Pumpkins are sold by the pound, and the barrel train costs extra.
Niederman Family Farm Fall Festival

Niederman’s 25th fall season runs Thursdays through Sundays, September 25 through November 1, with evening hours: Thursday 6 to 9 p.m., Friday 5 to 9 p.m., Saturday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday 1 to 6 p.m. This year’s 4-acre maze is a Liberty Bell, a nod to the farm’s first design. Admission covers the maze, the tractor ride, the jumping pillow and the play areas. Tickets are $16 online and $20 at the gate, and Thursday evenings are 25% off the weekend online price. The market, cinnamon sugar donuts included, requires no ticket. No pets.
Dayton Area
Brumbaugh Fruit & Fun Farm

Out in Darke County northwest of Dayton, Brumbaugh’s fun farm puts more than 25 activities under one admission. They include a 5-acre corn maze, a mini maze where younger kids count and name colors along the path, a zip line, Monster Mountain, a storybook forest and hayrides to the pumpkin patch. The Farmer’s Daughter Bakery on site handles the apple dumplings and fritters. The fun farm typically runs weekends from after Labor Day through October.
Jackson Family Farm Fall Harvest Festival

This working Butler County farm opens its Fall Harvest Festival on weekends, September 26 through October 25: Saturday 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday noon to 5 p.m. Admission for ages 3 and up is $15 online or $17 at the farm, and a $12 senior rate is available at the farm only. It covers the 4-acre corn maze, the pumpkin patch, the candy cannon, the jump pads and a hayride where visitors feed the cows. U-pick wildflowers and pumpkins cost extra. No pets.
Pot-Luck Greenhouse Fall Fest

The Clinton County greenhouse’s Fall Fest runs September 26 through November 1 and is built around a 5-acre corn maze with a scavenger hunt inside. General admission covers the maze and the play attractions, and the train ride through the corn costs extra. For GPS, search “Pot-Luck Greenhouse” rather than typing in the street address.
Waynesville Fall Fest

Waynesville Fall Fest is closer to a fall-themed park than a pumpkin patch. Admission covers two mini golf courses, pedal cars on kid and adult tracks, the three-story Wildwater Mining Co. playset, a corn maze, a petting farm and the S.L. Expeditions truck ride into the woods. The Dino Dig, where kids dig for fossils, is new this season. Gem mining and carnival games cost extra.
Young’s Jersey Dairy Fall Farm Family Fun

Young’s fall season runs September 19 through November 1. The Moo-It-All wristband is $28 for ages 12 and up and $21.50 for 11 and under. It covers Cowvin’s Corny Maze and Playland, wagon tours of the farm, mini golf, the carousel, batting cages and the driving range. With a wristband, a pick-your-own pumpkin is $8 more. Wristbands are sold on site only, at Udders & Putters or the Dairy Store gift shop. The separate Haunted Wagon Rides run Friday and Saturday nights through October 31, 7:30 to 10 p.m.
Hours, prices and attractions change during the season, and rain can shut down hayrides and mazes on short notice. Check each farm’s website or social pages before you go, and buy tickets online where it saves money.
