Free Parking isn’t a desired parking spot, though free parking is available at this Cincinnati bar and social gaming spot. Named after the space on the Monopoly board where nothing is required of the player, Free Parking wants to be the same kind of stop for its guests: no pressure, just a place to have fun.
Board games are having a moment again, and Free Parking leans into it with a full library available for in-store play six days a week, Tuesday through Sunday.
Bar, Bites and a Board Game Library
Free Parking pairs its game collection with a full bar and kitchen. Signature cocktails carry Monopoly and Clue names, including Marvin Gardens, St. Charles Place and Luxury Tax, alongside Mr. Green, Mrs. Peacock, Miss Scarlet and Dr. Black. The food menu covers shareables, burgers, sandwiches and desserts, from crab wontons and fried cauliflower wings to a Caesar chicken wrap and cookie dough wontons.
The game library spans new releases and classics, including Candy Land and Clue, both first published in 1949, and Battleship, which traces back to a 1931 pen-and-paper version called Salvo. Family Policy and Hours
Free Parking is family-friendly, but it’s still a bar. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult, and anyone ordering alcohol needs a valid ID and must be 21 or older. Not every game in the library is kid-appropriate, so staff can help point families toward age-suitable options.
Hours are 4 to 11 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 4 p.m. to midnight Friday, noon to midnight Saturday and noon to 9 p.m. Sunday. Free Parking is closed Mondays.
