Cincinnati Children’s largest community fundraising event, Go the Distance, will be held at Great American Ball Park on Saturday, September 14, at 9 am.
The 5K registration fee is $35 and the 1-mile course is $25 for adults and $5 for kids 17 and under. Both courses are wheelchair, stroller and wagon friendly. Register at gocincy5k.org.
After everyone crosses the finish line, there will be family-friendly fun, food, games and more throughout the ball park. “We’re so excited for this event,” says James Saporito, SVP of Development at Cincinnati Children’s. “Go the Distance is an incredible opportunity to bring the community together to stand with our families, to celebrate positive outcomes, honor hard-fought battles and remember lives lost.”
Go the Distance is presented by the Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky Honda Dealers. The event aims to raise $1 million, with all proceeds benefiting the patients and families cared for at Cincinnati Children’s. Participants can walk or run on their own or join or create a team to raise funds for the medical center. Donations can be designated to a specific program or division or can go toward the medical center’s greatest needs.
