Experience Holiday Magic on the Rails
The Hocking Valley Scenic Railway’s Santa Train is one of Ohio’s most beloved family traditions, offering a cozy and nostalgic ride through the scenic Hocking Hills region — complete with twinkling lights, holiday music, and a visit from Santa himself!
Each vintage coach is heated and decorated for the season, creating the perfect festive setting as families ride along the river valley from Nelsonville to East Logan and back. During the two-hour journey, Santa boards the train to visit every child and hand out a special candy cane treat. Little ones are encouraged to bring their Christmas wish lists and share them with the man in red!
