Celebrating 78 Years with the Duke Energy Holiday Trains
This year, the Duke Energy Holiday Trains celebrate their 78th season—a Cincinnati tradition that started all the way back in 1946. Originally displayed downtown, these trains have been part of generations of Cincinnati holidays, and today they’re as magical as ever at Union Terminal. With over 300 rail cars and 50 locomotives, the display is packed with tiny details that bring each scene to life. At track level, you’ll spot everything from travelers bundled up at the station to snow-dusted cars strapped with freshly cut trees, creating the perfect holiday village.
Holiday Junction: Familiar Favorites and New Delights
From the moment you step inside, Holiday Junction offers a world of holiday cheer. Meet Santa Claus and More
No holiday is complete without a visit from Santa! This year, Santa will make a grand entrance by helicopter, thanks to UC Health, on Friday, November 29. You can catch him in the cozy Ruthven Gallery, where he’ll be stationed by his fireplace, ready to hear holiday wishes.
And for a little extra seasonal magic, the OMNIMAX® film Rocky Mountain Express is back, offering a journey through the Canadian Rockies on a historic steam train. It’s an incredible way to feel the wonder of the mountains and the magic of the holidays all at once.
