Valentine’s Day is a magical time for children to spread love and kindness to friends, family and others. From card exchanges to cookie decorating, we’ve rounded up the top kid-approved Valentine parties in Southwest Ohio:
Benkens Garden Center- Kids will get to choose between two different Valentines holder designs, to make something to hold all of their Valentine cards in the coming week! Choices are owl or puppy design.
Heritage Village Museum- We’re going to learn how to put type together in the Schram Print Shop and print it on the tabletop printing presses. We will make some traditional cards from the 1800s, and learn about Valentine traditions.
Clifton Cultural Arts Center- DIY your valentines this year: local artist Deb Brod will instruct families in different paper folding and collage techniques to create their own three-dimensional handmade Valentines. Combine a variety of textures and colors of paper (and hone fine motor skills!) to create sculptural scenes and cards to share with loved ones.
Green Hills Library- Make a Valentine card with watercolors using a crayon-resist technique, open to all ages.
Nakama Studio- Prepare your child for their Valentine’s Day Party without any of the hassle for you and all the fun for them! This 2- hour class includes everything they need to make 25 glow stick themed Valentines for classmates, a Valentine collection bag, and a special snack.
Chrisholm MetroPark- What affairs of the heart are happening at the farm? Conduct a cardiovascular STEM experiment to help us compare our hearts to animal hearts. Finish the day with a card-making craft!
Contemporary Arts Center- This week at the CAC Creativity Center, come celebrate the day of love with a fancy V-Day party for all the families we adore! Join us for some heart themed art making and take home a yummy treat bag. Stick around for some kid-friendly yoga inspired by the work we’ve created.
The Mall at Fairfield Commons- Show your bestie some love this Valentine’s Day with an event dedicated to your friendship! Besties can be your desk mate at school, a sibling, or even a parent. Join others at CozyMelts located on the lower level near JCPenney for a cute bestie craft.
