Happy Friday, friends!
I’m just stopping by to spread the word about a really cool, used book sale going on this weekend:
The Winter Warehouse Sale is going on this weekend at its downtown location (8456 Vine Street). This sale is hosted by the Friends of the Public Library, and you’ll find great deals on used hardback and paperback titles, in favorite genres such as mystery, horror, romance, science fiction, classic literature and nonfiction. As a poor college student, I loved going to these sales and stocking up on my favorite authors.
There’s an extensive collection of children’s books for kids of all ages, and includes non-fiction books as well. A quick note: my kids LOVE nonfiction, especially the DK “Eyewitness” series. We have gotten lots of these books from the Friends Booksales — usually in great condition, and many with the accompanying CD.
Here’s the schedule:
- Friday, Jan. 15: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Saturday, Jan. 16: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Sunday, Jan. 17: 12 – 5 p.m.
So, spend a few hours browsing and stocking up for the snowy week ahead! What’s better than a good book, cozy slippers and hot drink on a snowy day? Not much!
