Peanut butter and chocolate are a match made in heaven. Here in Ohio, the buckeye isn’t just out state tree; it’s also our unofficial state candy! And the Ohio Buckeye Candy Trail celebrates all the different varieties of this only-in-Ohio treat.

Pack up the kids and indulge in best buckeyes the Buckeye State has to offer with the newly established Ohio Buckeye Candy Trail.

31 candy shops total will participate in this one-of-a-kind trail offering Ohio’s most original – and delectable dessert. The trail includes stops in Ohio’s major cities, with Cincinnati and Dayton well-represented, as well as charming small towns.

The Buckeye candy is in the state spotlight not only because it’s Buckeye season. There is now an official statewide Ohio Buckeye Candy TrailThe Miami County Visitors and Convention Bureau helped launch the Ohio Buckeye Candy Trail. “Why not create a candy trail dedicated to this peanut butter and chocolate confection?”

Local stops include Haute Chocolate, with Golden Turtle Chocolate Factory, Holly B’s Sweets, Friesinger’s Chocolates, Winan’s Chocolates + Coffees and Esther Price all a quick trip up the highway in the Dayton/Lebanon area. Download a map here for a full directory of all 31 confectionaries!
