The Ohio Challenge Balloon Festival is back for 2021 and scheduled to be held from July 16-17 at Smith Park in Middletown, Ohio.
Come out and enjoy a weekend of hot air balloon activities, festival food and drinks, live music, carnival rides, and our famous hot air balloon glow. It’s the most popular balloon festival in Southwest Ohio.
When: Friday, July 16th & Saturday, July 17th.The festival is open 5 – 10:30 pm

Cost: Walk-in admission is $5 per adult, 13 and up. 12 and under are free. Parking is $15 w/ free shuttle and admission for all in the car. Parking Shuttle from the Airport Entrance.
Festival Activities
The Ohio Challenge Balloon Festival is fun for all ages. The Ohio Challenge brings vendors from all around the country. Get some food from one of our many different food vendors or if you are of the 21+ crowd, quench your thirst with a cold one from one of our beverage vendors. Other vendors will be there selling various items from authentic native American goods to hot air balloon merchandise. Children will never run out of fun with our wide variety of carnival rides that can also intrigue the adults that are kids at heart.
Night Balloon Glow
A fan favorite, the night balloon glow is a magical display that families look forward to every year. This year’s balloon glows will be both nights at dusk.
Fireworks
After the balloon glow, stick around for an amazing display of colorful lights and booms!
