Cincinnati Reds Family Fun Zone at Great American Ballpark

The Cincinnati Reds are going to be HOT this year (so we hope!) and we can’t wait to dive into their family-friendly playscape!

New is 2021, the Cincinnati Reds extended their TriHealth Family Fun Zone to levels 400-500! As if the previous family fun zone wasn’t enough, this one takes on gorgeous River views. The river theme pops with bright blue and green flooring, vivid light-reflecting nature over hangs, a turf tunnel and soft tree stumps for jumping.

The best part for parents: the coziest lounge chair sectionals right around the corner, in perfect view of the little slugger batting cages. My kiddo took a few swings at the automated whiffle ball cage and was nothing but smiles.

While cozying up, we noted the perfectly placed Reading Room and Nursing Room for Moms. I had been to the previous nursing room, as it opened the year my daughter was born. The room locations were well thought through as they are directly across from the new TriHealth Family Fun Zone playset. No more leaving Dad and the older siblings behind in the stands – they can join in too!

Around the corner, there is a well placed mini bar and swings for a quick drink and wind down before heading back into the stands. We were convinced grabbing a swing would be impossible but each time we snuck away, we could easily enjoy the Smale Park-esque river swings overlooking the grand, new scoreboard and Ohio River.

It is important to note, the stadium is cashless. It is easy to download the MLB Ballpark App for your tickets, mobile food ordering, concession guide, Reds Heads Kids Club and more. If you’re a Cincinnati local, the Reds Rookie and Reds Heads memberships are highly recommended! The score book is full of free offers from local restaurants, free Hall of Fame tour, two free Reds tickets and a backpack full of fun gifts!

The Cincinnati Reds have always been so family friendly and have not let up on their goal of an inclusive, family experience. From unicorn souvenirs to therapeutic sensory rooms, there’s something here for every child to love the game of baseball.
