Regency Rally at Heritage Village Museum

Regency Rally at Heritage Village Museum and Educational Center provides an opportunity to learn about life in the early 1800s — an exciting time when Ohio was a brand-new state!

Regency Rally at Heritage Village Museum happens April 13 from 10 am to 5 pm and includes lots of family-friendly fun, including demonstrations, shows, historical reenactments and hands-on activities!

For little historians, Linigle’s Company of Ohio Militia will be on hand for drilling and civilian demonstrations. Prior to the War of 1812, militia musters were not just for drilling, they were social opportunities for men and women alike. Watch a military style hearth cooking demonstration. And, of course, no event at Heritage Village would be complete without historical reenactments: kids will get a kick as they witness a reenactment of a duel between officers.

Little fashionistas will learn about the popular clothing styles during the time of Jane Austen at the Regency fashion show and enjoy tea time while learning about Regency era tea customs.

Energetic kids will play games on the green and enjoy drilling with the troops using wooden muskets and other fun hands-on activities.

Admission to Regency Rally at Heritage Village Museumis $10. Museum members, veterans and active duty military members (with a military I.D.), and children ages 4 and under are free.
