Looking for a fun family activity to do together Mother’s Day weekend? Come to the 10th Annual Butterfly Walk 5K/10K to benefit CancerFree KIDS, presented by Anthem Blue Cross & Blue Shield. Registration is now open, and you can choose to participate in the 1 mile Inspirational Walk, 5K, or 10K. Included with the registration is a fun festival that includes pony rides, petting zoo, inflatable slides, face painting, Nathan’s Famous Hot Dogs, and much more. Make Saturday, May 7th a day of fun the whole family will never forget, and help us take one step closer to a cure for pediatric cancer. Gather your friends and family and form a team, or participate as an individual.
The Butterfly Walk is celebrating 10 years of funding pediatric cancer research, and helping to bring the community together in support of children who have battled cancer. There are many ways to participate: you can register for the event, donate, volunteer, or Adopt A Tree, by visiting the official event website: www.butterflywalk.com. The highlight of the day is the Ceremony at 9:30am, emcee by Scott Sloan from THE BIG ONE 700wlw, during which 30 children who have battled cancer will be honored on stage with a Medal of Courage, and we will take a moment to remember our angels who have left this world, but who will forever be in our hearts. Come show these children your support! Our mission is one day for all KIDS to be Cancer Free.
