The Whole Family Will Love These New Soak City Additions

If your family loves waterparks, you’ll want to put Soak City at Kings Island on your summer 2025 bucket list. The waterpark is getting its biggest upgrade in years—complete with a brand-new water coaster and a fresh, playful area just for kids. Here’s what’s coming:

RiverRacers: A Water Coaster Built for Fun (and Speed)

Ready for a totally new kind of thrill? Soak City is debuting RiverRacers, Ohio’s first-ever dual-racing water coaster. Picture this: You and a friend climb into side-by-side rafts, zoom down a steep 33-foot drop, get launched uphill by water jets, and twist through tunnels and splash zones—with cool lighting effects along the way. It’s fast, it’s splashy, and it’s made to feel like a rollercoaster, but on water.

This is Soak City’s biggest ride addition in nearly a decade—and it’s perfect for older kids, teens, and parents who like a little friendly competition.

Splash River Junction: A Sweet Spot Just for Littles

For younger kiddos, Soak City has opened a brand-new area called Splash River Junction. It’s themed like an old-fashioned river town (in the cutest way) and built for safe, silly, water-filled fun. Here’s what’s in it:

  • Salamander Sliders – Seven gentle water slides made just for kids.

  • Bluegill Lagoon – A shallow “swimming hole” with sprayers, a mini water tower, and lots of interactive water play.

It’s a great spot for families with toddlers and young kids who want their own slice of the waterpark action.

More Shade, More Seating &… Blue Ice Cream!

The fun doesn’t stop at the rides. Soak City is also getting some guest-friendly upgrades:

  • The wave pool is getting a full refresh.

  • More loungers and shaded seating are being added throughout the park (because sometimes, you just want to sit and relax while the kids splash).

  • And for the first time ever, you can grab Kings Island’s famous blue ice cream inside Soak City!

All Included with Park Admission

One of the best parts? You don’t need a separate ticket—Soak City is included with your Kings Island admission or season pass. And if you’re already planning to visit the main park, it’s an easy way to turn a fun day into a full-on summer adventure.

Opening Just in Time for Summer 2025

The new attractions are open now, so it’s the perfect kickoff to summer break. Whether your crew loves heart-pounding thrills or just wants to splash, slide, and chill, the new Soak City has something for every age.

Time to pack those swimsuits!
