Holiday Whopla: The Holiday Spirit Shines Bright In Middletown

The Holiday Whopla is the newest addition to the spectacular holiday experiences you can share with your family and friends this holiday season in historic downtown Middletown!

The Holiday Whopla features a state-to-the-art ice rink which opens November 11, 2023. Admission is $10 per person and includes an ice skate rental.  The Whopla ice rink is surrounded by magnificent interactive light displays as well as heated igloos for guests to warm up in. The ice rink is located in a DORA district with beer, wine, hot chocolate, concessions, and food trucks available to enjoy while you are visiting the ice rink!

Kids:
11 am-11:30 am
3 pm- 3:30 pm

Adults:
11:30 am-12:00 pm
3:30 pm- 4:00 pm

Horse Drawn Carriage Rides

Enjoy a Carriage Ride Through The Quaint Backdrop of Historic Downtown Middletown
Decorated in Gorgeous Holiday Lights.

Saturdays: Nov. 25th, Dec. 2nd, Dec. 9th, Dec. 16th, Dec. 23rd from 4 pm to 8 pm $5 per person.

Share the Joy of the Holidays with Everyone’s Favorite Grumpy Elf!

Fridays and Saturdays: Nov. 24th through Dec. 23rd from 5 pm-8 pm.

Santa Parade

Following the Parade at the Square Santa will light the Middletown Holiday Tree, Holiday Menorah Lighting, and Kwanzaa Candle Lighting.

Igloo Rental

Whether you’re little or big, young or old, Holiday Whopla is the furthest thing from cold. The igloos are there for you to rent, the hot cocoa is flowing, and it will be time well spent. Igloo Rental $40 an hour, each additional hour is $20.

Light Displays

The Holiday Whopla showcases many amazing interactive light displays but a trip to downtown Middletown would not be complete without visiting the Light Up Middletown drive-through light display that has been the cornerstone of Holiday memory-making in Middletown for over 25 years.  Come for the Lights and Stay for the Whopla!!!
