What makes The Seven Hills School unique?

What is The Seven Hills School enrollment policy? Are there any key dates parents should be aware of?

Because we have limited space and our application pool is quite competitive, we recommend completing the application process as early as possible. The priority admission deadline is Nov. 15, 2023, for pk2-grade 5 and is Dec. 1, 2023, for grades 6 through 12. Regular decision is Feb. 15, 2024.

Do you offer financial assistance?

Yes. Seven Hills is committed to providing access to as many families as possible. As part of our Affordability Initiative, we offer two important options: our Flexible Tuition Program and Seven Hills Scholar Awards, both designed to provide families from many walks of life the advantage of a Seven Hills education.

What are the standard school day hours?

Our start and end times depend on the program. Our Lower Schools begin each day at 8:30 a.m. Middle School and Upper School begin at 8:10 a.m. The school day ends at 3:15 p.m., with the exception of pre-kindergarten for 2-year-olds and pre-kindergarten, which end at 11:30 a.m., 1 p.m., or 3:15 p.m.

Does The Seven Hills School offer before/after school care? Does your school offer afterschool activities?

Yes. We offer before-school and after-school care programs for students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. Our Doherty and Hillsdale Campuses both open at 7:30 a.m. and don’t close until 6 p.m. We also offer numerous clubs and activities at all grade levels.

Is there a uniform or dress code?

At the Doherty Campus, yes. At Hillsdale, no.

How many children attend The Seven Hills School? How many students are in the average classroom?

1,040 students across all divisions. Our student-to-faculty ratio is 7.5:1.

Does The Seven Hills School offer support for students with special needs?

Yes. At Seven Hills, we accommodate students with a wide range of learning styles and academic needs. Across all divisions, we meet these needs with learning specialists who equip students with the strategies to best support their work and classroom learning. In close collaboration with school counselors and teachers, learning specialists identify students who may benefit from learning support. In Middle School, students may in enroll in or benefit from additional programs like Learning Lab and the Middle Academic Support Team.

What specialty classes / extracurricular activities does The Seven Hills School offer (gym, art, language, sports etc.)?

In all four school divisions, Seven Hills’ Signature Programs provide opportunities for your child to dive deeper into their unique interests and to unlock their full potential. The form these programs take differs for each age group, to best match where they are in their Seven Hills journey. Our Signature Programs include Experiential Learning, Immersive Arts, Full-Participation Athletics, Design Thinking, Global Awareness, and more.

The Seven Hills School is comprised of two campuses. Our Doherty Campus, in East Walnut Hills, houses the Doherty division of Lower School (2-year-olds through grade 5). Our Hillsdale Campus, in Madisonville, houses the Lotspeich division of our Lower School (2-year-olds through grade 5), the Middle School (grades 6-8), and Upper School (grades 9-12).
