Cincinnati Museum Center is kicking it old school as it revels in JNCO jeans, over-tweezed eyebrows, JTT and so much neon*. CMC’s Off the Rails After Hours is a new 21 and up series, in partnership with their in-house food service and catering team SSA, that invites you to explore its museums after hours with themed programming, food and a cash bar.
The first Off the Rails After Hours will let you relive your 90s childhood in The Children’s Museum on October 12 in celebration of The Children’s Museum’s 25th anniversary.
So, get a sitter for your Tamagotchi and tape the latest episode of TRL because tickets for Off the Rails: 90s Edition go on sale Friday, September 8.
As the children who grew up at Cincinnati Museum Center enter adulthood, CMC is welcoming them back to experience the museum in a whole new way. Off the Rails After Hours combines that childhood nostalgia with a cash bar and a sprinkle of A Night at the Museum.
Off the Rails: 90s Edition opens up The Children’s Museum from 7 to 10 p.m. on Thursday, October 12 for a 90s themed party. You’ll be free to explore The Children’s Museum and reminiscence over your favorite field trip or see if the tunnels and slides of The Woods are as big as you remember. Plus, the Corbett Theater will be your home for 90s karaoke and a DJ will exclusively be spinning 90s hits all night: from Britney to Mariah to Monica, Sandra and Rita.
You won’t walk away empty-handed (or empty-wristed) either. Dip into KidSPACE to make friendship bracelets and slime, just like in the good old days. And, since you’re an adult now, you won’t have to ask your mom for change to play classic arcade games. Themed food and drinks will also be available for purchase.
