United Rehabilitation Services’ 17th Annual URS Rubber Duck Regatta, presented by Synchrony, announced today changes to this year’s event due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. This year, the URS Rubber Duck Regatta will pivot to a “virtual” duck drop on Friday, September 18, 2020, at the Dixie Twin Drive-In, 6201 N. Dixie Drive in Dayton.
The Regatta will feature 6 great prizes:
- Floating Home Vacation Package on Norris Lake, provided by Aquaknox Marine
- $1,000 Buffalo Wild Wings Gift Card
- $1,000 Goldfish Swim School Gift Card
- $1,000 Watsons Gift Card
- $500 Target Gift Card
- Raising Canes Chicken for a Year
All proceeds benefit vital programs and therapies for local children and adults with disabilities. Ducks can be adopted for $5 each or a Quack Pack of 6 ducks for $25 (1 duck free plus a free sub from Jersey Mike’s.)
There are 4 easy ways to adopt ducks in the virtual Rubber Duck Regatta:
- Text DUCK to 24365
- www.daytonducks.com
- Buffalo Wild Wings Locations
- Call 235-DUCK
The Virtual Rubber Duck Regatta will feature a drone video on the Dixie Twin’s two giant screens, created by photographer Andy Snow of a previous Regatta. The winners will be chosen by random drawing on the computer and announced live at the event, followed by a family-friendly movie. The gates open at 7 pm and the Virtual Rubber Duck Regatta begins at 8:15 pm.
