If you’re looking for a fall outing with playful adventure and seasonal charm built in, Waynesville Fall Fest delivers all weekend, every weekend through early November.
Located at 7392 East State Route 73 in Waynesville, Ohio, the festival turns a former nine-hole golf course into a season-long lineup of mini golf, mazes, a petting farm and fall treats.

When to Visit
Waynesville Fall Fest opens for the season on Saturday, September 19 and runs Saturdays and Sundays through Sunday, November 1.
- Saturdays: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Sundays: noon to 6 p.m.
Daily admission is $16 for adults and $14 for kids 10 and under. Kids two and under get in free. Season passes run $29 for adults and $26 for kids ages three to 10, worth it if your family plans to come back more than once. Admission covers most of the property, though gem mining, carnival games and Water Wars cost extra.
What Families Will Love
There’s something for every age here:
- Wildwater Mining Co. A three-story playset built from pieces of a decommissioned amusement park attraction.
- Pedal Cars. Separate kid and adult tracks.
- Mini Golf. Two courses: Jake’s 18-hole course and the nine-hole Big Camel course.
- Petting Farm. Barnyard animals for meet-and-greets.
- Human Foosball, Gaga Ball and Bocce Ball. Life-size games spread across the property.
- Corn Maze and Maze of Confusion. A full-size corn maze plus a smaller maze built for younger kids.
- Dino Dig. New this season: an excavation site where kids dig for dinosaur bones and fossils.
- Gem Mining and Carnival Games. Extra cost, paid separately from general admission.
Also on site: a nine-hole disc golf course, foot golf, shuffleboard, giant cornhole, a duck race and the S.L. Expeditions ride, an oversized expedition vehicle that heads into the woods toward Skeleville, home of the Skelepeople.

Seasonal Treats and Shopping
Food stands sell ice cream, slushies, baked goods and quick bites throughout the property, including baked goods from Der Dutchman. The Miners’ Camp gift shop and seasonal vendors carry fall décor, pumpkins, gourds and mums.
Good for Groups and Celebrations
Waynesville Fall Fest also books birthday parties, field trips and corporate outings. Group packages and season passes make it easier to plan a return visit.

Why It’s Worth the Drive
A local family acquired the property in 2012, when it was a former nine-hole golf course. They spent years repurposing rides and materials from shuttered amusement parks around the country before opening the festival in 2019. That history shows up throughout the grounds, in the mining-camp theming, the recycled wood fencing and small nods to the original attractions.
Whether your family wants heart-pumping adventure, a quiet walk through the woods or an afternoon of fall crafts, Waynesville Fall Fest covers it.
