You’re invited to Duke Energy Children’s Museum’s 20th Birthday Party!
It’s going to be the birthday party of the decade as the Duke Energy Children’s Museum turns 20! The party happens June 23 from 10 am to 5 pm, and will include non-stop, family-friendly activities all day long.
Partake in a few of your favorite activities and hands-on demonstrations, and visit with a few of the partners who work with the Museum Center to inspire the community. Check out the updates to The Woods, meet Kids’ Town Mayor Georgina the American Toad, have a ball in the Energy Zone, and unleash your creativity in KidSPACE when Balloon Artist David Baker pops in at noon. It’s a day of celebrating the classic and new at Cincinnati’s beloved children’s museum!
Here’s what’s on the schedule:
Cincinnati American Chemical Society
All Day
Dive into activities with natural and man-made sponges. Experiment by sorting, matching, measuring, observing and more.
Happen Inc., Toy Lab
All Day
Use your imagination to create your very own Paper Robot! Choose and color all the parts you need to design your friend, and don’t forget to give your new bot-buddy a name and special abilities.
Cincinnati Museum Center Totally Awesome Birthdays
10 am to 4 pm
Celebrate your special day in the Duke Energy Children’s Museum! Learn more about the Museum’s Totally Awesome Birthdays packages as they showcase some of their very cool party themes like Dinosaurs and LEGO!
Banfield Pet Academy
11 am to Noon
Cincinnati Museum Center and Banfield Pet Hospital, the nation’s largest general veterinary practice, have joined together to celebrate the health and wellness of our four-legged family members. Bring your young animal lovers to explore the kid-sized Banfield Pet Hospital in the Duke Energy Children’s Museum. Meet local therapy dogs, practice checking vital signs of stuffed animal pets, review X-rays and weigh animals.
ArtAPPRENTICE: Twisted Ideas Balloons!
12 to 2 pm
Join award-winning, world record-breaking Balloon Artist David Baker for an afternoon full of balloons and fun! Find out what first got him interested in this unique art form and try your hand at making your own balloon sculpture.
While you’re there, be sure to check out the brand-new Mission Aerospace exhibit, which is seriously awesome and loads of fun for kids.
Stop by to see what other exciting activities and community partners will be joining in on the fun! This event is free for Members or with admission to Duke Energy Children’s Museum.
