Only a few weekends remain before back-to-school, let’s make the best of them! We’ve rounded up the top weekend events from Cincinnati to Dayton.

Kids on Bikes

Friday, July 29 | 6-7:30p | Kingswood Park

Kids on Bikes are off-road rides and skills practice for kids who have graduated from training wheels up to 18. The riding is focused on kids. Parents are requested to participate by riding along. Kids on Bikes is not a “drop-off” program, but a chance to ride bikes with your kids.
Please bring your own bike and helmet for ALL riders. Children need to be able to ride without training wheels and have enough skill to stop, turn, etc.

Native Bat Exploration

Saturday, July 30 | 8-10p | Germantown MetroPark

Join Five Rivers MetroPark as they explore the often misunderstood native bat species and then search for some in the park. Participants will also be preparing for bat researchers that will be banding bats in the park in August. Weather Dependent, ages 10-17 $3. Register here.

National Night Out Dayton

Saturday, July 30 | 12p-4p | Dayton Mall

For the first time, Miami Township will celebrate National Night Out with a kickoff celebration at the Dayton Mall. Events will be held both inside and outside the mall, including a car show, dunk tank, bounce house, drone demonstrations, food, music, face painting and balloon art… and so much more!

Mud Mania Weekend

Friday and Saturday, July 29-30 | 11a-3p | Rentschler Park

Mud Mania is back and open to the public! Slip, slide, climb, and crawl your way through a mud obstacle course featuring a water slide, muddy pools, and more. All ages are welcome and encouraged to come prepared to get wet and dirty! Shoes with secure backs are required.

Healthy Kids Day

Saturday, July 30 | 10a-1p | Washington Park

You’re invited to the YMCA’s biggest party of the year! Join the YMCA at Washington Park for a day of fun in the sun showcasing how your kids can get active while inspiring healthy routines. All activities are free and open to the community.

Dayton Air Show

Saturday and Sunday, 30-31 | 9a-6p | Dayton Airport

This is your chance to get up close and personal with the aircraft and pilots! Get your tickets to see the world-renowned U.S. Navy Blue Angels, along with an amazing lineup of performers and aircraft displays and so much more.  In addition, there are activities and events that will capture the imagination of kids of all ages, including interactive, hands-on activities, experiments, and demonstrations for children ages 6-16.

Raptor, Inc. Bird of Prey Open House Weekend

Sunday, July 31 | 1p-4p | Raptor Milford

Take a peek behind the scenes at the Raptor Center during Raptor Inc’s monthly Open House event. Educators will be available to welcome guests, lead tours, and conduct educational programs with our LIVE avian ambassadors! The event is free and fun for the whole family. Stop in to meet and learn about our amazing local birds of prey and to support raptor conservation!
