Central Montessori Academy

Central Montessori Academy is a private independent school offering toddler, preschool, kindergarten, and elementary classrooms in an authentic Montessori environment. Located in northwest Cincinnati, we serve families from Springfield Township, Mt. Healthy, North College Hill, Colerain, Glendale, Wyoming, Forest Park, Fairfield, West Chester, Mason, and other neighborhoods.

Central Montessori Academy provides children with a world-class education, but also nurtures the heart to develop the child’s self-confidence, personal creativity and entrepreneurial spirit. Education at Central Montessori Academy is about providing each child with the experience to learn in a way that works for the unique individual they are. The children then live what they learn; making the lessons become a part of who they are.

At Central Montessori Academy, we value diversity. We draw students from many cultures and backgrounds—and this fosters a population that serves as a microcosm of the children’s larger society. We encourage our families and friends to share their histories and traditions. For example, teachers and parents have given presentations on diverse cross-cultural events such as Diwali, the Chinese New Year, The African Harvest Festival, and many more.

Do you offer financial assistance?

Central Montessori Academy appreciates the commitment and sacrifice that tuition costs require from our families who entrust us to instill Montessori values such as self-motivation, self-discipline and self- confidence in their children. We are constantly balancing the need to increase tuition costs with the need to pay our teachers and staff competitively to continue to provide the high level of education that our families and students deserve.

The Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) creates a structure that is fair and mission appropriate, giving awards to families with true need. Other benefits include protecting tuition costs from rising too quickly and addressing aspects of diversity, equity and inclusion. The funds available for Tuition Assistance Program are limited. The program is designed to provide financial assistance to families who embrace the Montessori philosophy and just need some assistance to help continue this education for their children. Tuition Assistance will not exceed 50% of the standard rate of tuition. Typical TAP allocations will range between 20- 50%.

Tuition Assistant Policies and Procedures:

Before Applying for CMA’s TAP, please read through the policy and procedure documents to understand deadlines and notification of when tuition assistance information will be shared.

Does your school have a homework policy?

Central Montessori Academy offers children a world-class education, along with an education of the heart that nurtures their self-confidence, personal creativity and entrepreneurial spirit.

Instead of compartmentalizing information, Montessori schools teach subjects in relation to one another. Through extensive observation and record-keeping, the teacher plans individual projects to enable each child to learn what he needs in order to improve.

Beginning with toddler-aged children, and continuing through the 6th grade, our curriculum has been carefully prepared to support an authentic Montessori approach to learning. The multi-age classroom model ensures that children in the same level have the same teacher for three years. This model allows children to form strong bonds with their teachers, and provides teachers with a longer period of time to guide the individual child’s academic growth and development.
