Wander through a conservatory meadow surrounded by butterflies in flight. Admire monarchs and blue morphos as they soar through wildflowers and a flowing waterfall. You won’t want to miss this opportunity to see what it’s like for butterflies in the wild and to learn why we must protect their habitats at Butterflies of the Meadow.
Butterflies of the Meadow is open now through June 18 at Krohn Conservatory!
Step inside a meadow of springtime delight with homemade pops of color, a wooden bridge and a small pond for fluttering butterflies. The meadow inside Krohn Conservatory’s seasonal show room is spacious and fills up the center of the room– just like you’d see in a real life meadow.
Volunteers are stationed throughout to educate and encourage safety of the free-flying butterflies. Stop at the Investigation Station and dive deeper into the different species of butterflies currently in the exhibit. New this year are butterfly journals; every guest receives one at the butterfly exhibit doors!
Butterflies of the Meadow Reservations
Timed tickets are required and can be purchased online here. Reservations are one hour long which is plenty of time to walk through the Fern and Palm rooms before visiting the butterflies. Mom tip: visit the palm + fern rooms first… by the time you get to the butterflies, the crowd will be less than half with no line!
Krohn Family Pass: For $75, buy a yearly family pass and get into all of the seasonal shows (yes- even the Christmas trains!) for 365 days! This is such a steal and helps support the conservation and education of plants.
General admission: Adults $10, Children 5-17 $7, under 4 free
