Cincinnati School of Music – Teaching Life Skills Through Music Lessons!

Looking for a fun and educational after-school activity for the whole family? Take music lessons! Beyond the personal enjoyment and fulfillment that comes from learning to sing or play an instrument, there are many essential life-skills that are instilled through studying music. In addition to the obvious ones such as discipline, perseverance, attention to detail, enhanced memory and language comprehension, there are other benefits we see develop over time in students of all ages as they stick with their music lessons, overcome challenges and experience the satisfaction and pride of performing in a recital. Students develop confidence, problem solving, time management, and most importantly a sense of identity through their own creative self-expression. These more intangible benefits and aspects of personal growth are part of our mission at the Cincinnati School of Music — transforming lives through music.

Cincinnati School of Music (CSM) is the perfect place to take music lessons for children, teens, and adults. A family owned and operated business with 3 locations in Mason, Montgomery, and Anderson, with lessons available 7 days a week, CSM provides a wide range of scheduling options to fit your busy schedule. Whether you are wanting to learn how to read music, try out jazz piano or guitar, rock out on the drums, or improve your violin skills for school orchestra, we have a large faculty of experienced and friendly music teachers who can help you reach whatever your musical goals may be. Lessons are offered on piano, guitar, ukulele, drums, violin, viola, cello, voice, trumpet, saxophone, flute, and clarinet. We work with children as young as age 3 in our Music Discovery lessons, introducing young learners to the fundamentals of music, as well as grade school up through high school students preparing for college auditions. We also work with many adults picking up an old hobby or starting a new one. All are welcome, and teachers personalize each lesson to the individual’s needs and goals.
