A Less Than Perfect Version Of My Life

I read a really good article the other day that someone shared with me on Facebook about how people frame their lives to make them look more perfect on the Internet.

It got me to thinking about my blog, do I frame my blog that way? I sure hope I don’t. I try to be as realistic as possible and show what my life really is like. For example, my kids have wiped their own feces on the walls. Did I share a picture of it? No. Did I write a blog post about it? Maybe, I truly can’t remember. But my larger point is, I try to be as honest as possible about my life, and what it’s like to be at home, all day, every day with three small kids.

Are there times when I want a gin and tonic at 10am because I will care a little bit less about my baby screaming? Possibly.

Do I get into screaming matches with my stubborn (takes after her mom) oldest daughter about the dumbest things like, brushing hair or eye rolling. You betcha.

Do I cuss in front of my kids? Probably more than I should, but most of the time I make my best attempt at doing it under my breath. I’m getting much better at replacing “bullshit” with “baloney sandwich” so that seems to be working out pretty well.

My point here is, well I’m not really sure I have a point, but I guess what I’m trying to say is, with my blogs, what you see is what you get. It’s not candy coated, it doesn’t show me in my best light, it is what it is. I am what I am, I’m glad you enjoy them and have stuck around to hear what I have to say.

Thank you readers, I appreciate each and every one of you.
