What makes Bishop Leibold unique?
Our preschool and pre-k programs are inspired by the internationally acclaimed Reggio Emilia model (Italy), which features nature, art, and experiential learning. You will find students working in centers such as dramatic play, art, music, library, writing, and sensory. Students participate in large and small group activities, outdoor play, Bible stories, and daily prayer.
Our three-year-old program (preschool) is offered to families five days a week for half of the day. Students may also register for a partial-week option. Our four-year-old program (pre-k) is offered to families five days a week for a full school day. Students can also register for a half-day or partial-week option.

Bishop Leibold is a Catholic school- our preschool proudly uses a Reggio Emilia approach to education.
What is your enrollment policy? Are there any key dates parents should be aware of?
Preschool and Pre-K enrollment opens with the rest of our grade levels in mid-January each year. Current families have an opportunity to register their student(s) before registration opens to the public. After public registration opens, spots are filled on a first-come-first-served basis.
What are the standard school day hours? Does your school offer flexible day/hour options? Is before/after school care available?
Bishop Leibold offers full and half day preschool program options. Our full day runs from 7:45-3:00 and our half day runs from 7:45-11:00 AM daily.
How many children are in each class? How are children divided up?
Our three year old program has 12 students max and our four year old program has a 26 student max.
What is the teacher/child ratio?
Our three year old program maintains at 12:1 ratio and our four year old program maintains a 13:1 ratio.
What are the teacher’s credentials?
All teachers are licensed by the State of Ohio.
Is parental participation required?
Participation is not required, but strongly encouraged!
How do teachers communicate with parents? How often do parents receive updates?
Weekly newsletters and emails are part of the program. Teachers are available for conferences as well.
Does your school offer support for students with special needs?
Yes, Bishop Leibold is a proud participant in the Jon Peterson Special Needs Scholarship program. Visit us for a tour to learn more about his this scholarship could help your student on an IEP!
How much time do the children spend outside?
Students explore and learn outside throughout their day!
Are meals and/or snacks provided?
Yes- breakfast and lunch are offered to students.
Does my child need to be potty-trained?
Accidents happen! But potty-training is required prior to enrollment.
What enrichment programs/activities are offered?
Bishop Leibold is thrilled to offer after-school care, and co-curricular programmings such as STEMpm, Robotics Club, Drawing Club, Rosary Club, Scouts, Athletics, and more!
