Nothing says fall like picking the perfect pumpkin. From sprawling fields of bright orange gourds to family-friendly fall festivals with hayrides, corn mazes and apple cider, Cincinnati and the surrounding region has plenty of autumn options.

Blooms & Berries Farm Market Pumpkin Patch
Fall on the Farm runs daily, September 19 through November 1. Tickets are online-only and sold in 15-minute slots; gate sales aren’t guaranteed and cost $5 more on Saturdays and Sundays. Kids under 2 get in free. The event includes a 5-acre corn maze with a separate kids’ maze, hayrides, a 40-animal petting farm, a jumping pad, and a low ropes course. Pumpkins aren’t included with admission — they’re sold by the pound in the field, and Fall on the Farm ticket holders get 10% off carving pumpkins.

Barn-N-Bunk Farm Market & Pumpkin Patch
Barn-N-Bunk’s Fall Festival Weekends run five weekends, September 26 through October 25. Admission is free. Each weekend has its own theme — 4x4s and Jeeps, wood carving, an antique farm machinery show, a cowboy reenactment, half-price Costume Weekend — alongside the regular lineup of hayrides, a corn maze, duck races, mini train rides and pumpkins.

Brown’s Family Farm Market Pumpkin Patch
Brown’s has no general admission — the corn maze, straw maze, climb-on combine, slide tower and farm animals are free, seven days a week, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. On weekends, hayrides to the 5-acre pumpkin patch run $6 per person (cash), and carving pumpkins are priced at $.49 a pound. Fall Family Fun Weekend activities, including the hayrides and a barrel train, run Saturdays and Sundays through October.

Burger Farm & Garden Center Fall Festival
Burger Farm hosts one of the largest fall festivals in the Tri-State, running weekends from the last weekend in September through the end of October, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (weather permitting). Admission is $15, $12 for ages 65 and up, and free for kids 2 and under. The day includes a hayride to the pumpkin patch, a puppet show, a giant straw castle, a jumping pillow, an eight-obstacle challenge course, and live local bands from 1 to 4 p.m. Pony rides, carnival games and other extras cost more.

Burwinkel Farms Pumpkin Patch
Burwinkel Farms‘ fall activities run daily, September 26 through October 31. The hayride option is $12 per person and includes a round-trip ride to the pick-your-own pumpkin patch, two corn mazes, a skid maze, and the sunflower fields, plus a small pumpkin and sunflower to take home. A walking option without the hayride is $8 per person and available daily. Hayrides run Saturdays and Sundays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., weather permitting.

Shaw Farms doesn’t charge general admission — the play areas and animal viewing are free every day, weather permitting. Pumpkin Patches Worth the Drive
Country Pumpkins
Country Pumpkins is open September 7 through October 31, closed Tuesdays. General admission is free and includes the sand tunnels, kiddie corn maze and kiddie play village. The Pumpkin Ridge Pass, which adds the petting zoo and more play areas, runs $8 per person; the Fun Pass, which adds a hayride, barrel train, the 4-acre corn maze and the pumpkin launcher, runs $22.
