Calling all aspiring young performers! The Children’s Theatre is thrilled to announce auditions for two captivating productions: Dr. Seuss’s The Cat in the Hat and Disney’s Frozen JR. These audition opportunities are open to performers who possess a love for the stage and a passion for storytelling.
Audition Details:
- Performers Ages 9-14: Virtual submissions ONLY. Sign up for auditions here by selecting “waiting list” for a time slot. Submit a one-minute song with backing track/piano accompaniment by August 18th.
- Adult performers and Young performers ages 15-18: Make an audition appointment here. Appointment dates are from August 19th to August 22nd
- All roles are paid positions.
- Auditions are by appointment only.
- You only need ONE audition appointment, even if you are interested in both
productions. - Dr. Seuss’ The Cat in the Hat callbacks will take place on Saturday, August 24,
2024, 11:00 AM-3:00 PM. - Disney’s Frozen JR. callbacks will take place on Sunday, August 25, 2024, 5:00-
9:00 PM. - Auditions and Callbacks are held at TCT’s headquarters in Cincinnati.
Preparation Checklist:
Preparation is key! Here are a few helpful tips to make sure you are ready for the big audition.
- Prepare a one-minute song with piano sheet music that shows your vocal and acting range.
- Bring a recent 8×10 headshot and performance resume.
- Arrive 15-20 minutes early with scheduling conflicts and your calendar.

Dr. Seuss’s The Cat in the Hat brings the beloved tale to life, as audiences young and old will embark on a comical and mischievous adventure with the iconic Cat himself.
From the moment his tall, red-and-white-striped hat appears around the door, Sally and
her brother know that The Cat in the Hat is the funniest, most mischievous cat that they
have ever met. With the trickiest of tricks and the craziest of ideas, he is certainly loads of
fun. He turns a rainy afternoon into an amazing adventure… but what will mom find when
she gets home…?

with danger, the two discover their hidden potential and the powerful bond of sisterhood.
With a cast of beloved characters and loaded with magic, adventure, and plenty of humor,
Disney’s Frozen JR. is sure to thaw even the coldest heart!
